At Women in Digital, we believe that meaningful digital inclusion begins at the grassroots—and that belief was brought to life through our recent Training of Trainers (ToT) program, designed to empower women from non-technical backgrounds with the knowledge and confidence to become cybersecurity advocates in their communities.

Over the past two months, four exceptional women were selected to join this program:
Touhida Akter Songita, Afsana Himu, Rasheka Islam Ruhee-Badda, and Nasima Akter.
Despite having limited experience in tech, these women embraced the challenge and successfully completed the comprehensive 2-month long course focused on digital safety, cyber hygiene, and responsible online behavior.

The training sessions were expertly conducted by Achia Nila, Founder of Women in Digital, whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in preparing the participants for real-world community engagement.

What sets this initiative apart is not just the training itself, but what happens next.

Today, these four women are no longer just learners—they are leaders. Each of them has launched cybersecurity awareness sessions within their own communities, helping others—especially women and youth—understand how to navigate the digital world safely. From avoiding online scams to managing personal data, their sessions are already making a meaningful impact.

This program is a testament to the power of inclusion: that with the right support, any woman, regardless of background, can become a digital leader and changemaker.

We are incredibly proud of Songita, Himu, Ruhee, and Nasima—and grateful to Achia Nila for her commitment to digital empowerment. As these women continue to inspire and educate others, they embody the mission of Women in Digital: to build a future where every woman is digitally empowered and confident.

Stay tuned for more stories from the field as we expand this initiative and continue to build a safer, smarter digital world—led by women, for everyone.
