From 2013 every year we have arranged different cyber awareness programs nationwide. We have day-long programs or weekly programs to keep our youth safe in cyberspace. In 2021 our research says, for the COVID 19 pandemic cybercrime has been increased. Most of the time we are in lockdown and we spend much time online. We received a lot of similar complaints from our youth and most of them belong to 14 to 24. It's an alarming sign for our nation. To keep our youth safe in cyberspace we have planned a 30 days campaign. And we declared 'September' as our 'Cyber Security awareness month'. Every year we organize this event in September.
30 days long cyber security awareness program started on 1st September 2021 to 30th September 2021. More than 12 national speakers have joined us in this session. Bangladesh Police has supported us a lot. Through this program, we have tried to connect a relationship with the police and the public. The entire program has been conducted through online platforms (Zoom, Facebook live) and WID posted various awareness focuses at their own social platform as long as they covered six sessions with diverse topics along with six upright speakers at appreciated spaces.
Despite different posts about cyber awareness, WID has conducted an online session regarding-
